Pond Culture is The method of farming Vannamei shrimp in large earthen ponds. Shrimp are stocked in these ponds, where they grow and develop until they reach marketable size.

POSTLARVAE

“Postlarvae” refers to the developmental stage of shrimp that follows the nauplius stage. These are small juvenile shrimp that have undergone molting and metamorphosis, resembling miniature versions of adult shrimp. Postlarvae are often transferred from hatcheries to grow-out ponds or tanks for further rearing and development.

A facility where shrimp are processed (cleaned, peeled, deveined, and sometimes cooked or breaded) before selling.
