POSTLARVAE

FARMING PRACTICES

“Postlarvae” refers to the developmental stage of shrimp that follows the nauplius stage. These are small juvenile shrimp that have undergone molting and metamorphosis, resembling miniature versions of adult shrimp. Postlarvae are often transferred from hatcheries to grow-out ponds or tanks for further rearing and development.
