This week there is still much confusion on the export market in Ecuador. You can see many different prices, but when you drill down, and check breakdown, quality or packing, export prices are stable, even the farming prices are not. This price instability is due to the fact that the large packers are not buying from external farmers, but are processing their own raw material.
By the way, in Ecuador medium size factories are sending product to China, with very high margins but also very high risk; and other factories are just completing orders from previous weeks.
In India, there is more offer of raw material, but prices are still high compared to Ecuador.
