The 2023 Conxemar Exhibition in Vigo, Spain, from October 3-5, marked a milestone in the seafood industry. Celebrating its 24th edition, the International Frozen Seafood Products Exhibition witnessed a record-breaking attendance of 26,736 people from 110 countries, reflecting a 3% increase from the previous year. The event was notably expansive, featuring 767 exhibitors, a 13.1% increase from the prior year, with an additional 1,300 square meters of space compared to 2022.
This event was a hub for a wide array of seafood industry professionals, including wholesalers, importers, exporters, manufacturers, and distributors. It offered an essential platform for networking, discovering new products, and engaging with the latest trends in the industry. The exhibition was notable for the first-time participation of several countries, such as Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, the UAE, Mauritania, Turkey, Greece, and the Netherlands, either through individual attendees or country pavilions.
Conxemar stands as a crucial European meeting point for the seafood processing and marketing sector, representing over 230 companies with a combined annual turnover of over 9,000 million euros. Plans are already underway for the 2024 edition in Vigo, which will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the exhibition.
