In the first months of this year, China’s imports of Vietnamese frozen Basa Fish fillets has increased by 44%

China continues to buy large quantities of frozen fish fillets from Vietnam.

In the first five months of 2020, China directly imported 59,000 tons of frozen basa fillets. According to Chinese customs data, it has increased by 44% compared to the same period in 2019. Still, these figures mean 69,000 tons less than China’s imports in the last five months of last year. Chinese data shows that between August and December 2019, China imported 128,000 tons of fish fillets, with an import value of $ 257 million, more than double the import value than from January to May 2020.
