Imported cold chain food dealers fined for breaking regulations.

China strictly investigates imported cold chain food. Hundreds of frozen product dealers in Shandong, Hunan, Liaoning and other places were punished.

Qingdao City and Heze City in Shandong Province imposed fines and suspended business of dozens of enterprises and distributors who could not provide the “Three Cold Chain Certificates” and the products were not entered into the “Shandong Cold Chain” system.

On December 20, a distributor in Fushun City, Liaoning Province purchased Brazilian beef but failed to perform nucleic acid testing and disinfection in accordance with regulations and was fined 150,000rmb.

Chenzhou City, Hunan Province investigated and punished an illegal operation of imported cold chain food and was fined 140,000rmb.

Two frozen food business operators in Shijie City, Guangdong Province were fined 50,000 yuan each for failing to fulfill their food purchase inspection and recording obligations, and the products one of the frozen food cold storages were seized on site.
