Ecuador’s Vannamei exports to China increased 66% from August to September.

According to the Ecuadorian Aquaculture Association – CNA, the Vannamei shrimp exports to China in September reached 21,600 tons, an increase of 8,600 tons from August. Compared with September 2019, exports were lower by 29%.

This month’s increase of exports to China brought Ecuador’s total shrimp exports to 54,000 tons in September, an increase of 3% over August and 6% over September 2019. Although exports to Europe and the United States have declined, there has been an overall growth.
