Chinese cities carry out strict inspections on imported frozen products sold in the market

On October 28, Huangzhou District, Huanggang City, Hubei Province issued a notice: On October 22, the Huangzhou District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau found that Wushang variety store in Huangzhou district seriously violated the relevant regulations of No. 24 of COVID-19 Prevention and Control, illegally selling two batches of frozen meat products that have not been tested by the disease control department.

Therefore, it is required to prohibit the purchase, storage and sale of imported frozen meat and seafood products in the entire region. All imported frozen meat products in existing stocks are sealed on the spot and sampled and tested by the district CDC. Relevant government departments are required to immediately organize investigations. Operators who refuse to cooperate shall be dealt with in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
