ChinaTip #0489

After the pandemic’s outbreak, the first Russian ship transporting live king crab arrives in China.

The ship carrying more than 70 tons of live king crabs arrived at the Shanghai Hengsha International Fishing Port.

Affected by the pandemic, the imported aquatic products industry has faced difficulties this year. China’s pandemic situation continues to improve allowing the catering industry to recover rapidly. The demand for imported aquatic products has also gradually recovered. As the largest trading and temporary farming center for imported aquatic products, Shanghai Hengsha Fishing Port Company has reopened the import channel for live king crabs.

After the ship’s arrival, the urgent time measurements for imported live seafood required that the border inspection and customs, maritime and other port inspection units jointly inspected the ship and ensure that live king crabs are cleared in time and unloaded as quickly as possible.
