Ecuadorian company Omarsa banned again.

On June 30, the official website of the General Administration of Customs published a notice on emergency preventive measures against 11 overseas companies. 8 companies from India and 3 companies from Ecuador are involved.

Among the three Ecuadorian companies, Operadora y Procesadora de Productos Marinos Omarsa S.A. (Registration No. 477), a large aquatic product manufacturer in Ecuador. The import declaration will be banned for 4 weeks. Omarsa is well known in China’s imported frozen shrimp industry, and it has always been the top two shrimp brand in the domestic market. This means that the importer will not be able to clear Omarsa’s goods throughout the following July.

The remaining two Ecuadorian companies are: PESKOREA S.A (registration number 6252) whose import declaration was banned for 1 week and CULTIVO Y EXPORTACION ACUICOLA CEAEXPORT S.A. (registration number 7057) was banned for 4 weeks.

The 8 Indian companies are:
M/s. WELLCOME FISHERIES LIMITED (registration number 934), 1 week, Padmashree Export (registration number 1318), 2 weeks, and M/s. Suryamitra Exim Pvt. Ltd. (registration number 1819), 1 week, M/s. RVR MARINE PRODUCTS LIMITED (registration number 805), 9 weeks, M/s. ST. PETER & PAUL SEAFOOD EXPORTS PVT. LTD. (registration number 840), 1 week, M/s. JM Marine Exports (registration number 1163), 1 week, M/s Shivganga Marine Products (registration number 287), 1 Week and M/s. SS International (registration number 1162), 1 week.
