China imported a total of 116.000 tons of shrimp products in January and February 2020, with an import value of around 707 million US Dólar. This import volume is lower than the same period last year, which is related to Spring Festival (January 25), which was earlier than in 2019.
According to official data, about 51.000 tons of Vannamei are imported from Ecuador, valued at $306 million and leading the ranking. The second country is India, from where 20.300 tons were imported in 2 months, valued at $124 million.
