China Customs suspends imports from 2 Indian companies.

On September 21, the official website of the Chinese General Administration of Customs published information about two Indian companies.

The Chinese customs department conducted a video inspection of the Indian company M/s. Sarveshwari Exports SA. Ltd. (registration number 424), and the company was found not to be in compliance with the requirements of the Guidelines to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 in Food Businesses issued by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO ) nor the Chinese Food Safety and Hygiene Control Requirements.

In addition, the aquatic products manufacturer M/s. Sree Sreenivasa Cold Storage (registration number 1895) did not cooperate with the Chinese inspection within the specified time.

China has decided to suspend the acceptance of import declarations from the two companies mentioned above for aquatic products shipped from September 22, 2022. The above information has been communicated to the relevant official authorities of the exporting country.
