According to industry sources, the General Administration of Customs of China has lifted the import ban on the Ecuadorian shrimp manufacturer SONGA. The products produced by Songa, which were shipped from Ecuador on March 26, can be imported, declared and cleared normally in China.
The news has been confirmed by the Ecuadorian ambassador, and Songa has begun to resume business in the China market. Perhaps due to time difference, the documents on China Customs website have not been yet updated.
It is reported that the ban lasted for 63 days, the longest ban in the past two years. The efficiency of bilateral communication has been reduced mainly due to the Chinese New Year holiday and the epidemic.
