On July 10, the General Administration of Customs issued an announcement: As the outer packaging samples of 2 batches of frozen vannamei shrimp tested positive for the covid-19, in accordance with the regulations of the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 103 of 2020, China customs will continue suspending the import declaration of the Ecuadorian aquatic product manufacturer Operadora y Procesadora de Productos Marinos Omarsa SA (registration number 477) for 4 weeks.
This is the third time Omarsa has been banned this month, and since June, Omarsa has been tested positive 6 times.
In order to completely eliminate the possibility of contamination of the virus during the production, at the request of the local government and the National Aquaculture Chamber (CNA), the shrimp farming and processing industries in Ecuador have officially launched the third stage of large-scale vaccination action.
