Data from the Talay Thailand Shrimp Wholesale Market shows that the average price of all sizes of Head On and Shell On vannamei rose again in the 47th week. It´s higher than Indian and Ecuadorian shrimp prices.
This week, the farms´ price of size 60 shrimp increased by 2.5 baht to 165 baht per kg, and the price of size 70 and 80 vannamei shrimp increased to 160 baht/kg and 145 baht/kg. Prices have reached a new high since the 51st week of 2019.
In US dollars, the price of size 60 shrimp is 4.96 USD/kg; size 70 shrimp is 4.81 USD/kg; size 80 shrimp is 4.35 USD/kg.
