China’s Dalian Port suspends receiving imported reefer containers.

Affected by the local pandemic in Dalian, Dalian Port will be closed for three days for disinfection, and it is not expected to rule out a possible extension.

There is a notice that Dalian Port suspends receiving imported reefer containers, and the refrigerated goods cannot be declared at customs temporarily.

At present, there are still more than 50 cargo ships waiting to be unloaded at the anchorage of Dalian Port, and some of them have already cancelled Dalian port and have begun to transship.

If the port is closed for too long, it will cause a large accumulation of final product inventory. Many customers were planning to deliver goods before the Chinese New Year. If it resumes as scheduled within three days, it is expected that the impact on shipment will be minimal. Otherwise, it may cause important delays in delivery.
