China Customs took emergency preventive measures against Ecuadorian shrimp company Omarsa.

On June 5, China Customs took emergency preventive measures against an Ecuadorian shrimp company.

Due to the positive detection of the COVID-19 virus in a sample of the packaging of a batch of frozen vannamei shrimp imported from Ecuador, in accordance with the regulations of the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 103 of 2020, China Customs has suspended the acceptance of import declaration from Ecuadorian company Operadora y Procesadora de Productos Marinos, Omarsa S.A. (registration number 477) from June 5th for 1 week.
